Old Settler Passes Away
John Johnson of Butler, Otter Tail county, passed away Saturday evening after a long illness. Mr. Johnson was 79 years and 4 months old at the time of his death and was one of the pioneer residents of Butler.
He is survived by five daughters and two sons, namely: Mrs. Pete Johnson and Mrs. Albert Kimball of Butler, Mrs. Will Meyers and Mrs. Henry Myers of Evergreen, Mrs. Albert Liebnitz of Idaho, Chris of Frazee and Henry, with whom Mr. Johnson has made his home. The funeral was held from the home on Monday, Rev. Duenow of Corliss preaching the sermon, and the remains were laid to rest in the Hillview cemetery.
