He also served in the Revolutionary War with the 4th Company , 3rd Battalion of Bedford County Militia. 10 Dec 1777 Ensign 4th Co, 3rd Battalion Bedford Co.23 May 1778 commissioned 2nd Lt same Battalion.1778-1783 Rangers of the Frontier received pay for services.
William died 2 Sept 1828 in Huntingdon Co., Pa.
