Cpl. U.S. Marine Corps, World War II-Cpl. Morgan was killed in action on 3-8-1945 while serving on the Island of Iwo Jima with the 26th Marine Regiment of the 5th Marine Division.

He is the son of Mr. Russell & Mrs. Esther {Leavitt} Morgan, now of Tucson, Arizona, and he does leave one sister, Miss Donabell, and two brothers, Donald and James.

Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Pacific Campaign Medal with Two Battle Stars, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal.
