|Birth: ||May 2, 1800, England|
|Death: ||Oct. 5, 1866|
William David Winter was the son of Peter and Anna (Thompson) Winter. He was born in England, but emigrated to the United States as a child or young adult. His brother George also emmigrated, but it is unknown whether or not their parents did.
He married Nancy Ann Degman in 1820 in Ohio; probably Cincinnati.
Known children of this marriage:
Mary Elizabeth Winter 1838 – 1923
Susan "Susie" Lavinia Winter 1839 – 1917
Henria G "Hennie" "Ann" Winter 1842 – 1918
There were probably other children who were gone from home and/or did not survive to show on the 1850 Census.
His death date is not known, but he is listed on the 1860 census and Henny is a widow on the 1870 census.
Per Stephanie Hagstrom: Nancy and her husband are buried at Trexler Cemetery just south of the wall surrounding the family. William and Henria's (Gillson) first baby is buried next to them.
