[July 23, 1971]
Born September 28, 1893, he joined the Passionists with the idea of becoming a priest. He professed his vows on June 1, 1915, but as his class got nearer to ordination a decision was reached that it would be best that he express his religious life as a Passionist brother. For many years he was an infirmarian and also a tailor. At other times he served as a porter. There, he was most dedicated in his promotion of the Benefactors Society, especially in Cincinnati, Ohio and Louisville, Kentucky. He died suddenly in Louisville just as he had finished eating lunch. At the time of his death he was the senior brother in Holy Cross Province.
