Italian Hall victim.
She was the daughter of Gustav Raja and Anna nee Kujanpaa. She was the wife of Herman Manley (1885-1967), a Finnish immigrant whose name was originally spelled Manni (and is found that way in the 1910 census). Her name is spelled Manley on her gravestone. Eliina and Herman married on July 31, 1909 in Houghton County. Eliina was pregnant at the time of her death. Her son Wesley was also killed with her at the Italian Hall and is buried in the same lot with her. Eliina had two other children: Niilo/Neal (1911-2010) and Wilfred (1913-2010). Eliina's younger sister Saita Raja was also killed at the Italian Hall and is buried next to her.
