Jean Ellyn Moon, 51, died Monday, May 3, 1999, in Lexington, Ky. She was a 1966 graduate of Amory High School. She received her bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Southern Mississippi and her master's degree from the University of Kentucky. She worked at the Kentucky Injury and Prevention Research Center.
A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Friday at the Waterway Nature Trail in Amory.
Survivors include two sons, Patrick Gilbert Jorda and Gregory Michael Jorda, both of Lexington, Ky.; her father and stepmother, Lloyd and Bonnie Moon of Amory; a sister, Lydia Moon White of Amory; two brothers George Gilbert Moon and Marcus Eli Moon, both of Amory.
She was preceded in death by her mother Jean Gilbert Moon.
A college trust fund has been established for her sons. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jorda College Fund, c/o George Moon, P.O. Box 662, Amory, Miss. 38821
