Sherman F. Orick
Sherman Franklin Orick, 55, of 1148 N. Macomb St. died yesterday at home. He had been ill for nearly a year and a half. The coroner's report indicated death was due to a heart attack.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Allore Funeral Home with the Rev. Luther Miller of the Kentucky Park Baptist Church in Monroe officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
The son of Isaac and Laura Orick, he was born July 2, 1912, in LaFollette, Tenn.
On Dec. 27, 1946, he married Ethel Walden in Georgia.
A driver for the Trio and City Cab companies, he had lived in Monroe since 1948.
Survivors in addition to his wife are his mother, Mrs. Isaac Orick of Norwalk, Ohio; four sons, Michael, Ronnie, Randall and Sherman Jr.; all at home; a daughter, Brenda, also at home; three brothers, Edgar Orick of Middlesboro, Ky., and Victor and Paul Orick, both of LaFollette, and two sisters, Mrs.Austin (Mary) Turner of Monroe, and Mrs.Beacher (Sarah)Burger of Norwalk,Ohio
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
