Actress. A Brooklyn native, she began her 40-year acting career on Broadway in 1940. She found success in early television portraying Sgt. Bilko's love interest in the 1950s series "The Phil Silvers Show," live theater programs such as "Four Star Playhouse," "Kraft Television Theatre", "Fibber McGee and Molly” 1959-60 and the 1970s series "Mannix" and "Maude." Among her more than 30 films were "Young at Heart" with Doris Day and Frank Sinatra in 1954, "The Graduate" in 1967 and her last, "Nine to Five" in 1980. Cause of death, congestive heart failure at age 85, in Woodland Hills, California. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
