Herbert Hamilton Anderson was born September 27, 1882 in Selma, Guadalupe County, Texas to Hugh Allen Anderson and Mary Ellen Hamilton. He was married to Rosa Ann Haynes, February 13, 1905.Herbert stood 6ft 2in. tall, had gray eyes, brown hair and a light complexion.He had an auto and garage business in Anson, Jones County, Texas. He had also been a blacksmith in Anson. Herbert enlisted in the Texas Rangers as a SPECIAL RANGER from May 31, 1917 until December 1917 and was attached to Company C. In 1930, he was a bookkeeper in a cotton office in Abilene, Taylor County Texas. Herbert died November 20, 1965 in Wichita County, Texas.
