Funeral services were held for Benjamin Earl Noland at the Cole and Maud Chapel in Casa Grande yesterday at 10 a.m. Rev. Sidney Cox officiated.
Mr. Noland was killed in a car-train wreck early Friday morning at the Trekell Road railroad crossing.
Born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, he moved to Casa Grande seven years ago from Pampa, Texas. He started to work for Engine Service Company of Casa Grande as service manager in 1962. He left the company in 1965 but came back about one year ago as foreman.
Noland lived with his wife, Opal, at 419 W. 11th St. in Casa Grande until his death.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindera Hoernka, of Casa Grande; three sons: W. C., of Wichita Falls, TX, Philip A., stationed in Indiana in the U.S. Navy, and Charles, of Amarillo, TX; seven grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters who live out of state.
Noland, who was a member of the Knights of Pythias, was buried in Mountain View Cemetery near Casa Grande.
