On 8 Jan 1734/5 in what later became Middlesex County, Connecticut, Moses married Lydia Fiske. Lydia's father was Rev. Phineas Fiske, with whom Moses had studied both theology and medicine. Moses and Lydia's children were Lydia, Dr. Moses, Jemima, Elihu (died at 12 days), Dr. Elihu, Dr. Phinehas, Capt. Samuel, infant (died), Jerusha, Fiske, and Elisha. Sons Dr. Moses Bartlett and Dr. Elihu Bartlett had studied medicine with Dr. Benjamin Gale b. 1715 - d. 1790 and, like their father and grandfather Rev. The church, now known as the First Congregational Church, Portland, Connecticut, was founded 25 Oct 1721 and various commemorative and other activities are currently being planned for the Church's tricentennial (300th anniversary!) in 2021.
