Wayne Cloud was known around Jasper and through out Newton County, Arkansas as a man that would help anyone in any way that he could.
He was always ready to buy a bottle of Coke for a friend.
Wayne was never a man with much to say but when he did have something it was usually worth saying and worth hearing.
I remember him from when I was a little girl. I can remember looking into his eyes whenever we walked past where ever he might be seated. Of all the grown ups I knew, he was the only one that would look me in the eye, and as a kid that left an impression with me, as if, even though I was just a little girl I made a difference in at least his eyes.
Wayne did a lot of volunteer work in and around Jasper.
He is buried next to Hallie Virginia Gill.
