Johnny was the youngest of all his brothers and sisters. He was a 'child of the 60's' and I can remember the blacklights and velvet posters in his room when I'd visit there. He became addicted to drugs and went into a rehabilitation clinic where while having a flashback from something he'd taken, he jumped from a tiny fifth floor window. The staff said he was screaming that demons were trying to get him, he was running, trying to escape them. He died instantly. Johnny was just 21 years old.
Johnny had ten brothers and sisters. Six of them, Kenneth, Nancy, Donna, Jeanie, Fred, and Mary Ellen (Midge) preceeded him in death. Siblings still living as of December 4, 2007, are Robert, Margie, Frank and Betty Jane.
I wondered why Johnny didn't have a Grave Stone, so talked to my Uncle Don about it. He said Johnny had stressed that when he died, he didn't want anything to mark that he'd been here. The family honored that wish.
I would like to thank my dear friend Diane Miller for sponsoring Johnny's memorial, and ask if you have time, could you leave a token of remembrance for her Mom, Harriet Burrell, and her Dad, Sylvester Burrell? Thank you so much, and Thanks again Diane, you're wonderful and I love you bunches!! xoxo!
