Robert Grayson "Bob" Conger was the second of four children born to Benjamin Alvie Conger, Jr. and Bobbie Ruth Overton. He was born in Dallas, Texas on November 21, 1949.

His siblings were: Benjamin Alvie Conger, III, Michele Ann Conger (Eubank), and Kevin Ray Conger.

Bob enlisted in the Army on February 25, 1969; he was released on February 26, 1971. After leaving the service, he worked for General Motors as an Assembler.

Bob married Judy D. Connor on July 25, 1969, shortly after his enlistment. No children are known by this author.

Bob was involved in a car accident on June 19, 1972 in Weatherford, Texas. Ten days later, he tragically succumbed to his injuries and died of a cardiac arrest at the age of 22. He was buried at Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, Texas on July 1, 1972.
