Willie Burns 87, of Yemassee, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at his residence.
Wake Services: 7 to 8 PM Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the Funeral Home.
Funeral Services: 11:00 AM Friday, February 8, 2013 in the Joseph M. Wright Memorial Chapel of Marshel's Wright-Donaldson Home For Funerals. Burial with military honors will follow in Beaufort National Cemetery.
Willie Burns, Jr, was born August 29, 1925, in Ehrhardt, South Carolina, a son of the late Sarah and Willie Burns, Sr. He departed this life on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at his residence.
The family migrated to Ridgeland, SC where he received his education. After completing high school, enlisted in the United States Navy on June 26, 1944 and served his country honorably until February 26, 1948.
On June 26, 1953, he was united in holy matrimony with the former Lillie Martin, who preceded him in death. He worked for many years as a self employed Logger.
