A Well Known Resident Died This Morning After a Long Illness.
The death of Mr. William Crawford occurred at 10:40 o'clock this morning at the residence on north Jefferson street.
The decedent had been in ill health for several days and for the last three months was confined in his bed, and his death was not unexpected.
Mr. Crawford was a native of Madison and a son of the late George Crawford. He was 57 years of age and was a stone mason by occupation and one of the best known men in Madison and was liked by all who knew him. He leaves a wife and two children, Mr. William Crawford and Mrs. Roy McCauley; also two sisters, Miss Carrie, of this city, and Mrs. Jennie Meikel, of Louisville, The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of many friends in their affliction.
The funeral will take place Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence. Burial in Springdale cemetery.
