Born and immigrated to Henry Co MO. from Prussia. Original name was William Frederic Henry Blazier.
Married Amanda Elmira Bellamy (aka Bellomy) March 28 1867.

William Fredrick Blazer, 79 years old,and for a number of years a resident of Cass county, died Sunday at the home of his son, Henry, residing on the V.J. WSillet farm, five miles northeast of town, aftr an illness of several months. Mr. Blazer had been in failing health for a year and a half or two years. For the past several months he had been bedfast, suffering intensely a great portion of the time and requiring the constant attention of his son, Henry and family.

The funeral was held at Pitts Chapel Monday by Rev. George J. Warren of the local M.E. church, South, and the burial was made in the Shumate cemetery.

William F. Blazer was born in Prussia April 5 1832. He came to Missouri in 1850, and had since made his home here. He was married to Miss Amanda Bellamy, March 28, 1867, the life companion whom he lost by death in January 1909. He united with the Methodist church in 1870, the religious faith in which he was zealous up through the last hours of his life.

He leaves three sons and one daughter - Frank Blazer residing in Kansas City, Henry and John Blazer, residing on the Willett farm, and Mrs. Ed Woolard, residing on the Moses C. Johnson farm. He leaves also one sister.

His Death certificate #30909 shows place of burial as Shumate Cemetery, which was later known as Pitts Chapel. A BLAZER family marker is located there but no individual markers. Unknown if he was moved from Pitts Chapel to Orient or if the original record was in error.
