Michael Edward Allread of Avondale, AZ passed away on Sept. 01, 2007 at West Valley Hospital Medical Center in Goodyear, AZ.
He was born April 24, 1969, in Encino, California and he moved to Arizona at age 5. He served six years as a decorated officer in the Avondale Police Department, most recently as a detective in the Criminal Investigations Bureau, where he specialized in combating vehicle theft. He was certified and trained others in drug recognition. He was also a hostage negotiator for Avondale's Tactical Operations Unit.
He is survived by one daughter, Shene of Bartlett, Ill.; one son, Eric Diamanti of Chino Valley; his mother, Terry Stapp of Peoria; his father, Ed of Youngtown; and grandparents.
Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale, AZ.
