Evangeline Schirmer

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at King's Grace Fellowship in Junction City for Evangeline "Vangie" Schirmer of Eugene, who died Nov. 7 of complications from a fall. She was 73.

Burial will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Eugene.

She was born May 21, 1938, in Yakima, Wash., to Clarence and Edith Anderson Cox. She married Wallace Schirmer on Oct. 5, 1956, in Alvadore.

She graduated from Junction City High School in 1956 and attended Lane Community College. She worked as a clerk at Walmart, in AAA's travel department, and as a bookkeeper for two of her husband's businesses.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Wallace Jr. of Hollister, Calif., and Jeffrey of Eugene; three sisters, Eunice Poynter of Green Valley, Ariz., Louise Adams of Junction City and Katherine Williams of Eugene; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
