MARRIAGE: News Article Baugh-Froom. Wedding - Alumnus Miss Edith Virginia Froom, daughter of Mrs. Sarah E. Froom, of this place, and Mr. Hubert Murray Froom, formerly of London, was united in marriage to Mr. Benjamin Kenly Baugh, formerly of Keezletown but now of this place, on Tue. Feb. 22nd in an afternoon ceremony. The groom is the son of Mr. William H. Baugh and the late Mrs. Betty Baugh of Keezletown. Edith is a recent graduate of Templeton and her mother is a Matron of King's Daughter's Hospital here. The bride's grandmother Rebecca V. Hill long-time matron of Western State Hospital and the groom's grandmother Johanna J. Black of Keezletown attended the services as well. The bride wore an embroidered ivory silk duchess satin gown with blue stitched ribbons. The groom wore a traditional black tailcoat with white wing collar pique shirt and blue boutonnière. Mrs. Baugh is an attractive and well liked Christian woman and made for a stunning bride. Mr. Baugh is employed by the Staunton Produce Exchange and the happy couple will make their home in Staunton. OBIT: Staunton Daily News Wed Nov 27 1918 p 1. Sad Death of Mrs. Baugh. Mrs. B.K. Baugh formerly Miss Edith Froom, of Staunton, died yesterday afternoon after a short illness from typhoid fever. She was about twenty-one years old and a member of Central Methodist Church. Surviving her are her mother Mrs. Sallie H. Froom, her husband, and her daughter Mary Elizabeth, eighteen months of age. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
