He was married second to Sadie Spaulding on 17 April 1916.
Through this union they had three children.
Ronda Winifrede Jarrell born 5 Oct 1917 and he died 25 Jan 1945.

Lura Jarrell (Thompson) born 19 April 1923.
He was a retired store merchant from Whitesville, Boone County WV.
He died from carcinoma of the stomach.

Whitesville: Funeral services for Jake Franklin Jarrell were to be conducted at 2:00pm today at the Valley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewey Holstein of Ashford officiating. Burial was to be in the Ballard-Jarrell Cemetery at Dry Creek.
Jarrell, a retired merchant died at his home in Whitesville Saturday after an extended illness.
Surviving are two sons. J.P. Jarrell of Beckley and Don Jarrell of Packsville, two daughters Mrs. Lura Thompson and Mrs. Louise Johnson both of Whitesville; two brothers, Wood Jarrell of Dry Creek and Tom Jarrell of Naoma; five sisters, Mrs. Lailey Hanson of Inverness, Fla; Mrs. Lilly Perry of Calloway; Mrs. Dora Bradford of Dry Creek; Mrs. Lue Webb and Mrs. Lottie Slack of Chesapeak, Also surviving are six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
