Slim Idaho was a hillbilly steel guitar player that appeared on the popular Barn Dance radio show. Being ahead of his time in technique, this innovator popularized the long single note run. He was one of the first to use an electric steel pedal. A remarkably talented young instrumentalist, he was killed on his motorcycle on the way to a gig at age twenty-four.
