Murder Victim.

Michael was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Challenge School for Boys, and was adopted by Hazel Matthews Williams, who tried to give him a good home. However, he was a troubled young man who struggled to find his place in the world, spending time in the penal system as well. Also known as Michael Matthews, Michael Williams and Ricky Davis, he did odd jobs and worked in the labor pool at Add-A-Man, where he was employed at Milton Avenue Foundry. He was last seen alive on March 25, 1981, by a store owner whom he'd told that he had been beaten up by two black men. His body was later found and he is considered to be one of the victims of the Atlanta Child Murders. He is survived by his adoptive mother, Hazel Williams; a foster aunt, Mrs. Ella Simmons Passmore; four brothers; three sisters; two aunts; three uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on April 27, 1981, at Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mack Simmons presiding.
