Friends in this city were shocked to learn of the death of Mrs. J. W. Aughenbaugh which occurred at the Abbott hospital in Minneapolis, yesterday morning. The remains were brought to this city last evening and the funeral services will be held from the home either Friday or Saturday afternoon. Rev. C. M. Brandon, rector of the Episcopal church, will officiate. Mrs. Aughenbaugh and her daughter Daisy Miller closed their home here a few weeks ago and went to Minneapolis where they had an apartment at the Radisson hotel. Mrs. Aughenbaugh suffered a stroke of paralysis Monday and was taken to the Abbott hospital but never regained consciousness. Her maiden name was Carrie Kocher and her marriage to Mr. Aughenbaugh took place Nov. 18th, 1868. They came to Waseca in 1877 and this has since been her home. They are the parents of three children, Mrs. Daisy Miller, Mrs. G. W. Strong, and Dana Aughenbaugh all residing in Minneapolis at present. There are also two grandsons and a great-granddaughter. During her long residence in WaŽseca, Mrs. Aughenbaugh won the respect and esteem of all who knew her. Kindly, gentle and charitable, her life was an inspiration and her memory will long be cherished. Waseca Herald 11-26-1925 Mrs. Aughenbaugh The funeral services over the remains of the late Mrs. J. W. Aughenbaugh who passed away at the Abbott hospital in Minneapolis Wednesday of last week were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock from the late home. Rev. C. M. Brandon, pastor of the Episcopal church officiated and the remains were laid to rest in Woodville cemetery beside those of her husband whose death occurred two years ago. Everett, Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Everett, Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Fuller, Mrs. V. G. Pickett, W. A. Zetterberg, and Miss Beatrice Northey, of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Harrison, of Waterville, C. Southwick, of St. Paul, Mr. and Mrs. Purdy, of Freeborn, Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Christianson, Mrs. E. C. Weikel and W. D. Hinchon, of Madelia, and Mrs. A. S. Fuller, of Janesville.
