GREAT GREAT UNCLE

We cannot control the movement of time
Nor can we control our own destiny
Or the destiny of those we love

But we can take comfort in knowing
That those who have lived in our hearts
Are never really gone

As long as we keep them with us
In our hearts and thoughts
They will be with us always
For love, which is timeless
Never ceases to exist

POTATO FARMER
Thaddeus D. Ross - One of the prominent and well to do landowners of Monticello is Thaddeus D. Ross, who is proprietor of two large farms in this neighborhood, one of seventy acres and the other of one hundred and sixty, both bordering on the Lake Road ~ Mr. Ross engages in general agriculture, rotating his crops from year to year, and specializing in the growing of potatoes ~ For the storage of this valuable crop he maintains a capacious cellar, on the quarter section and in town possesses a warehouse for storage of potatoes and other agriculture produce~

Thaddeus D. Ross married Hattie Belyea daughter of James and Elizabeth Belyea, both of whom are natives of Maine, though they spent the later years of life in Boston ~ Mr. and Mrs. Ross are the parents of; Inez, Alice, Leland, Clyde, Olie, and Grace ~
