Youngest son of ten children born to Ann Pilley and George Brewerton. Was seventeen and unmarried.
Immigrated to America with his older brother, Thomas William, and his young family with LDS Church members.
Died aboard a riverboat while enroute from New Orleans to Missouri Territory. Was buried alongside the bank of the Mississippi River somewhere between Natchez and Greenville, Louisiana.
His infant cousin, Thomas William Jr., died a week later and was also buried alongside the Mississippi some distance up the river.
His brother and sister-in-law had remained in New Orleans because of her ill health and did not know of the baby's and George's deaths for three weeks.
His father is buried in England, his mother in Salt Lake City Cemetery, Salt Lake, Utah and his brother, Thomas William Sr. is in Willard Precinct Cemetery, Box Elder, Utah.
