Jennie ended up living in Pennsylvania when she and her husband took a trip to visit their children. Jennie so hated the 'high speed' of the travel that she refused to make the return trip.
Once settled in Brownsville, Jennie would walk to the grocery store, make her purchases and then leave them while she walked home. The grocer would place her groceries on the bus and the bus driver would stop at her home and leave her groceries on her doorstoop if Jennie hadn't made it home yet.
Jennie died in 1959 in Brownsville.
