Mrs. Laura Brock, aged 73 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. L. Stroder, on April 13, 1937. Mrs. Brock was a native of Tennessee and she was born on March 10, 1864, to Moses Pendergrass and Mary (Simmons) Pendergrass.
She had been a resident of this community for twenty-three years and had a wide circle of friends and acquaintances who will regret to hear of her demise.
The diseased [sic] leaves her husband, T. M. Brock, and one daughter, Mrs. Stroder, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There is also one sister, Mrs. J. H. Brock, of Flat River, Missouri.
The funeral will be held tomorrow, Friday, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stroder. Miss Ethel Wright the officiating minister.
