OBITUARY:
Robert Judson, Former Salem Resident, Dies
Robert L. Judson, 37, former Salem resident and business man, died suddenly of a heart attack Thursday in his home at San Jose, Calif., where he had resided since the end of the war. The W. T. Rigdon company in Salem is in charge of funeral arrangements. Judson was born at Yakima, Wash., Oct. 22, 1910, and moved to Monroe, Ore., with his parents a few years alter.
In 1921 the family came to Salem where Judson attended public schools and was graduated from Salem high school in 1930. After graduation Judson worked for several oil companies and later became a salesman for the Tidewater Associated Oil company.
During World War II he served two years with the navy in the Pacific theatre. After receiving his discharge, Judson resided in Portland for a few months before being transferred to San Jose where he lived until his death. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Rose Judson of San Jose; two sons, Randolph Lee and Robert Charles Judson, both of San Jose; three brothers, Harry T. Judson and Richard P. Judson, both of Portland, and William E. Judson of Salem; and two sisters, Mrs. Carol Wait of Portland and Mrs. Mildred Kuhn of Salem.
