Francis Ditto was a pvt. in the 13th PA Line during the Revolutionary War, captured at the Battle of Monmouth and later exchanged. Also present at the Battle of Stony Point and the mutiny against Gen. "Mad Anthony" Wayne. He was a hunter and trapper and spoke Pennsylvania Dutch. He married Eleanor Gift in March 1782 and was the father of nine children. His grave is unmarked.
