She met and married Samuel Sidney Shelley on June 14, 1905 in San Marcos, Hays, Texas, USA. Sadly, Sam Shelley passed away in 1913. Caroline then married Hugh Foley in San Marcos, Hays, Texas, USA, on November 23, 1915. They lived in Houston until his death in 1937.
By 1940, she relocated back to San Marcos and was living with her sister Mary Ossian Brown in San Marcos, Hays, Texas, USA.
Caroline is buried in the San Marcos Cemetery and Samuel Sidney Shelley rests to her right. Hugh Foley is buried in the Oakland Cemetery in Navasota, Grimes, Texas, USA.
