PECATONICA - Mrs. Jessie Miller Morse died Thursday in her rural Pecatonica home. She was born Aug. 14, 1886, in Juniata, Neb., the daughter of James and Cora McMakin, and she was a resident of Winnebago County nearly all her life.
She was married to Oscar Miller, Dec. 1, 1915. He died Sept. 2, 1940, and she was married to Ed Morse, Nov. 8, 1946. He died March 12, 1953. Mrs. Morse was a member of the Burritt Community Church and the Burritt Grange.
Survivors are three sons, Edson and Richard Miller of Harrison Township and Robert of Rockford; two daughters, Mrs. Max Talley of Durand, Ill. and Mrs. Joe Dammann of Burritt; a twin brother, Jay, and another brother, Frank of Shirland; a sister, Mrs. Henry Katterhenry, Beloit; 25 grandchidren and 10 great-grandchildren. A son, Merrill, and a brother, Carl, predeceased her.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Burritt church. Burial was in the Roscoe Cemetery. Arrangements were made at the Knapp Funeral Home, Pecatonica.
