Monticelio, May 13—Mrs. Lida
Bishop, 85, who resided alone in
Idaville, was found dead seated at
her breakfast table about 4 o'clock
Wednesday afternoon. A newspaper
carrier went to the Bishop home
Wednesday morning before school
and found the doors locked. Returning
again after school last evening
the doors were still locked. He
notified Mrs. Peter Condo, who
resides across the street. They looked
through the window and saw her
sitting at the table. Dr. Mayfield,
county health officer, was notified
and he made an investigation. It
is believed she had been dead since
Born March 11, 1863 the daughter
of Frank and Rebecca Wilson,
she was married to Harvey
Bishop who passed away in 1941.
She had always resided in the Idaville
and Burnettsville neighborhood
and was a lifelong member
of the Church of God of Idaville.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs.
Zetta Lontz, and Mrs. Lulu Bishop,
both of Medford, Oregon, a brother,
Ray Wilson, of Jacksonville, Oregon.
Funeral services will be held
Friday at 2 o'clock (DST) at the
Idaville Church of God with the
Rev. Allen Morgan, pastor of the
church and Rev. N. A. Gilliland,
officiating. Burial will be in the
Davis cemetery east of Burnettsville.
