Tony was a graduate of the San Leandro High School class of 1977 in San Leandro and a 1998 graduate of San Jose State University. An electrical engineer, he was the holder of five separate patents, all relating to the medical field. He succumbed to colon cancer.

Tolentino "Tony" Escorcio, Jr. of Dublin passed away peacefully on February 7, 2005 surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Dearly beloved husband for 25 years. Loving father of a son and daughter. Dear brother. Devoted son. Cherished uncle of eleven and Godfather of five. Tony loved family life. He enjoyed camping and fishing and was known for his laughter with a great wit. He had a passion for children and a devout love for his family. Tony will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved him. A native of Oakland, CA, age 46 years. Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend his Vigil Service on Wednesday, February 9, 2005, at 7:30pm at Santos-Robinson Mortuary, 160 Estudillo Ave., San Leandro. Funeral Liturgy Thursday at 2pm at St. Leander Church, 550 W. Estudillo Ave., San Leandro. Visitation begins Wednesday from noon-8:30pm at the mortuary.
