Gallegos, 45, passed away on Sept. 13, 2004, in Pueblo West, Colorado. Survived by his wife, Catherine; children, Olivia and Richard; mother, Annabelle (Gerald) Martinez of San Leandro, Calif.; father, Salomon (Rebecca) Gallegos of Santa Fe, N.M.; brother, Robert; sister, Tresa; grandmother, Pelegrina Padilla; mother-in-law, Ruth Dockery of Pueblo; Godson, Nicky Boy; Goddaughter, Jada; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins of Colo., N.M. and Calif. Rick was born Dec. 28, 1958, in Oakland, Calif., where he was a precision machinist. Moving to Pueblo West a year ago allowed him to fulfill his dream of being an involved, stay-at-home Dad. Being an avid sports fan, especially a diehard 49ers football fan, Rick enjoyed coaching his son's baseball team, "The Rangers."
