Nathan was from Dobbs Co. NC, born about 1765. This area became Lenoir Co. in 1791. He was either a son or brother of William ARRANDAL who was a witness to the land grant for Paul HARTSFIELD on 11 May 1782, Dobbs Co. This land joined land of Richard CASWELL, who was Caswell's Regiment and the county of Caswell was named for. Dobbs County was formed in 1759 from Johnston Co. NC.

I have finally identified George Gober in documents pertaining to Nathan Arendall.
George Gober is my ggg-uncle, son of William Gober I and first wife Lucy Craddock. George Gober was born abt 1771 Virginia, died abt 1862 Franklin Co Georgia. George Gober married Nancy Gober, his first cousin, d/o George Gober 1740 and Martha Wisdom 1743, on Oct 5 1796 in Granville Co NC.
In testimony for Nathan Arendall pension on 7/6/1855, George Gober was 84 years old, stated he moved from Granville Co NC to Frank Co GA in 1799 and became acquainted with Nathan.
