Blackie Sr. came with the house..along with 12 other cats. She got her name because it was descriptive.(she had a black ear)
She was small but strong. I remember the first time I saw her catch a bird. From then on whenever birds were around I would tell them to fly! Blackie had cancer of the face. She spent her last week being rocked and sung to. She slept in my bed. I would listen to her breathing. she was so calm. We would wake up in a room full of sunshine. On 2-13 she woke up at 5:00 distressed.I decided it was time. It is the hardest thing to do. You think "how can I make that decision". Her favorite song was "Miss America" that I would sing as she would walk up and down the driveway with her tail held up proud."walk proud Blackie"
She is with all the others that passed prior.
The weather was 70 degrees and not a cloud in the sky and beautiful sunshine. She will also be on the piano at home, along with her other brothers and sisters.
Cremated, Ashes given to family or friend.
