Private, Battery D, 338th FA, 88th Division. Son of Mrs Carrie Anderson; born January 24, 1890 near Berwick, IL. Entered the service at Galesburg, April 29, 1918; to Camp Dodge; in service 264 days; overseas 142 days; discharged January 18, 1919.
Wallace Anderson, age 33, residing east of the city died at his home Thursday evening at 10 o'clock after an illness of six months. Mr. Anderson had been in poor health since early last summer when he was found in an unconscious condition.
Surviving are his widow and a 16 month son. His mother Mrs. Carrie Anderson and a brother, Ernest, who resides at Bryant, IL, are also left.
Mr. Anderson was a member of the American Legion and the Modern Woodman fraternity.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Methodist Church.
