Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and great-grandfather.

Throughout my life I have only heard great things about my great grandpa. One of the funniest things I've ever heard was from my mom. One day my mom and great grandpa were taking a walk. As they were passing by the local cemetery he leaned down to her and whispered "people are dying to get in there", he then laughed. When my nanny found out what he told my mom she of course affectionately yelled at him. I didn't hear this story until I was in my twenties, and it was only after my grandmothers wake. You see while we were at my grandmothers wake my sister, aunt and I were talking about how crowded the room was. My aunt explained to us that we were supposed to have the adjoining room but someone passed away. I thinking I was hilarious, and obviously inappropriate, said well he was just dying to get in that room. My aunt and sister were both shocked but thought it was funny. When we got home my mom found out what I said and started laughing and saying that I sounded just like her grandpa (pop), she then told me the story.

I think its funny that although I never met my great grandpa I told the same joke as him. Apparently it was a joke he said all the time. It's also funny because of how much time I spend in the cemetery taking pictures of those that "are dying to get in there".
