He was born April 26 1935 in Logansport to Fred and Nellie Lunsford Cooke.
He was a former composing room employee with the Pharos Tribune from 1955 to 1961. He was employed as a linotype operator with the Tulsa News at the time of his death.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are one son, Michael, stationed in the U.S. Marine Corps; two daughters, Cathy and Susie, both of Logansport; one brother, Paul, Martinsville; and one sister, Barbara Graham, Houston.
