Lisa Murphey Garrett went to be with the Lord March 21, 2015. Lisa was born Dec. 9, 1955, in Oklahoma City. She graduated U.S. Grant in 1974 and attended Oklahoma City Community College for two years. Lisa is survived by the love of her life, husband of 41 years, Jerry "Chuck" Garrett; and son, Jared Garrett, of the home; and three brothers, Rick Murphey & wife Kathy, of South Carolina; Donald Murphey & wife Angie, of Elk City, OK; and David Murphey & wife Joni, of Oklahoma City. Lisa is also survived by numerous extended family members; mother-in-law, Dollie; nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by parents, Don & Letha Murphey. Lisa's first love was for Jesus, her second love for Chuck and Jared. Lisa was a youth sponsor at the Crossroads Cathedral for 35 years. Her ministry was working with the youth and she never met a teenager she didn't love. Lisa was the most loving and wonderful wife, mom, and friend. She was always encouraging and touched many lives with her love and grace. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at the Crossroads Church, 8901 S. Shields, Oklahoma City.
