Arnold L. Brizendine, 91, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday October 17, 2012. He was one of eleven children born to the late Isaac and Maude Brizendine in Jamestown, Missouri. Arnold married the love of his life Johnnie Mae Magie and shared their life together for over sixty-seven years. He and Johnnie have three children; Darmon Brizendine of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Brenda Gibson (John Paul) of Lake Jackson, Texas and Kathy Cotton (Tom) of Euless, Texas; six grandchildren Jonathan Brizendine, Suzanne Brizendine, Joshua Cotton (Melanie), Joseph Cotton (Georgia), John Louis Gibson and Rebekah Maynor (Cory); six great-grandchildren Alex Brizendine, Dylan Brizendine, Devin Brizendine (Danielle), Rachel Cotton, William Cotton and Liam Cotton; and great-great granddaughter Karma Brizendine.

Arnold was a retired barber, owning and operating Park and Pullman Barber Shop for over fifty years. He was an active member of First Assembly of God Church for over thirty-years, where he served as an usher and a deacon. His devotion to the Lord and his family was a most important part of his legacy. He was a World War II Veteran having served in the U.S. Army.

Arnold, lovingly referred to as Papa, was a gentle, faithful and kind man who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Pallbearers include Jonathan Brizendine, Joshua Cotton, Joseph Cotton, John L. Gibson, Bruce Bates and Jim Kidd. Honorary pallbearers include Albert Hahm, Danny Griffith and the "Gleaners" Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Dr. Randall Gant and Charles Smithwick officiating.

Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery.
