Funeral services for Calvin Jones, 78 years old who died at his home on Cooper's Creek Monday afternoon at 5 o'clock from the results from an injury sustained six weeks ago when he was thrown from a buggy, were held at the Jones residence this afternoon at 2 o'clock. The services were conduced by Rev. T. Melton, and interment was made in the home graveyard.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife and five children, Frank Jones, Sarah A. Copen, J. R. Jones, of Coopers Creek, Elizabeth A. Jordan of Kanawha Two Mile, and Mrs. Emma Burgess of Mason county.

Calvin was the son of Thomas Jones & Susannah SHAVER. He married Marietta BURDETT.
