Mrs. Reed worked at the Maybelle Dress factory for 17 years and then was the owner/operator of Reed's Forgetmenot for 17 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Granbury.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Jasper Doyle Cassity in 1917; her twin sister, Lora May Cassity in 1925; husband, Gordon Reed in 1961; father, Charles Alvin Cassity in 1977; and mother, Nancy Ann Cassity in 1982. Survivors are a sister, Inell Reed of Granbury; children, Martha Ann Osburn and husband, Johnny, of Early, Gordon Ray Reed and wife, Barbara, of Wharton, Sherrie Matlock and husband, Tom, of Granbury, Danny Reed and wife, Kathleen, of Granbury; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Wiley Funeral Home of Granbury was in charge of arrangements.
