Crystal Faye Todd
Birth: Jan. 4, 1974
Horry County
South Carolina, USA
Death: Nov. 17, 1991
Horry County
South Carolina, USA

Murder Victim. She was murdered by Ken Register, who was a family friend. A few months after seventeen-year-old Chrystal Faye's brutal murder, the residents of Conway, South Carolina, learned that the killer was one of their own. Register and Crystal Faye Todd were best friends, and had even briefly dated. When Crystal's mutilated body was found near the woods of Conway, Register checked in every day to console Crystal Faye's mother and inquire about the murder investigation. He was practically the last person anyone would suspect, until he started acting nervous and suspicious. DNA tests confirmed that he was indeed the man who repeatedly raped and stabbed Crystal Faye Todd, then left her mutilated body in a nearby ditch. A book was written by Dale Hudson and Billy Hills called "An Hour to Kill" that tells more about the story. (bio by: V. Allen)
