Civil War Union Army Soldier. He served during the Civil War as a Private in Company K, 7th West Virginia Volunteer Infantry. He died of wounds at the Satterlee US Army General Hospital in west Philadelphia.
On March 7, 1867 his wife, Mahala Anderson, filed for a US Army Widow's Pension (Application #143404, Certificate #101344).
