James married Marian "Babe" Mallinson of Raton, New Mexico,
they had been married for 60 years.They traveled extensively while he served in the U.S. Army. After his service they settled in Shirley,Mass in 1965.He was employed by M.I.T in Hanscom Field where he retired.They were member's of the Rollstone Congregational Church in Fitchburg.He is survived by his wife,a son and daughter-in-law, James H. and Sandy Burson of Townsend; four grandchildren, James Burson Jr., Jason V. Burson, Justin Burson, Jennifer Burson; and six great-grandchildren.
