Beverly Mae (Holbrook) Bronson, formerly of Binghamton, New York, went to be with Jesus in eternal rest on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, after a long illness which she battled with determination, dignity and courage. Cared for by her loving daughter Paula since November 2009, she received hospice care by HomeCare & Hospice of Olean, NY.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ray and Rose Holbrook; sisters, Thelma and Dorcas; brothers, Donald and Edward; husband, Frank J. Bronson in 1999; great-grandson, Jacob Price. She is survived by her children, Betty Gianakos (Louie), Frank Bronson, Gregory( Lorrie) Bronson, John Bronson, Paul Bronson, Paula (Daniel) Harris, Mary Farnham, Mark (Sharon) Bronson; 16 grandchildren, Scott, Jennifer, Aimee, Sabrina, Robert, Loretta, Nathan, Janelle, Cody, Justin, Samantha, Andrea, Mallory, Christian, Andrew, and Jonathon; 17 great-grandchildren, Tirzah, Poppy, Lucy, Sarah, Michael, Reilly, Jack, Victoria, Olivia, Austin, Aubrey, Sadie, Maximus, Derek, Osiris, Zachary, Nicholas; brothers, Harold and Gerald; special friends, Phyllis and Harold, McDonald, Millie and Roger Terry, Carol Jenks, Virginia Wood, Betty Valoney, Alyce Rogers Addie Scott and Ada Scharf.

Beverly married Frank on August 22, 1950. She was employed by SUNY Binghamton for over 10 years, worked at specialty foods groups of Binghamton for several years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Kirkwood who enjoyed the Bible and Christian hymns and was a member of the church choir. She showed compassion, kindness and was a friend to all, she admired loved and drew inspiration from time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beverly enjoyed time spent with family playing card games, especially SkipBo and being a foster grandparent.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 26, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the First Christian Church of Kirkwood with The Rev. William H. Berkheiser officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow in the family plot at the Riverside Cemetery, Windsor, NY. At Beverly's request, in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Hillside Wesleyan Church, 753 Prospect Avenue, Olean, NY 14760 in appreciation of the palliative care ministry provided her by Pastor Richard Long.
