Paul Richard Ratliff died Monday (Sept. 22, 2008) at his Lizton home. He was 75. Born Dec. 11, 1932 in Lizton, he was the son of the late Percy and Eunice (Harlan) Ratliff. Mr. Ratliff was a U. S. Army veteran, serving from 1953-55. He worked 30 years for Allison Transmission before retiring in 1985.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Betty (Loveless) Ratliff; a sister, Phyllis Bodfish; a son, Ken Ratliff; daughters and sons-in-law, Penny and Don Bough and Cindy and Marc Dickerson; grandchildren Mandi, Dan, Jessica, Stefanie, Jason, John, Kristy, Cheyenne and DJ; and great-grandchildren Alyssa, Trevor and Emma.
A celebration of life was held at the Ratliff home south of Lizton on Friday. Graveside services were conducted on Saturday at the K. of P. Cemetery in Lizton. The Porter Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
